Why The Orbi won

I did not expect this result. Going in, I assumed the ball with eighteen thousand reviews would win on sheer weight of evidence, and for the first afternoon it looked like it might. Then I watched what the children did when they had a free choice, and the pattern was not subtle: the Orbi kept getting picked up, and the others kept getting put down.

The reason is the throw. Every ball here can technically come back to you. The Orbi is the one where a beginner lands that throw early enough to believe they can do it. That is the whole game with children — the window between first attempt and first success is where a toy is either adopted or abandoned, and it is measured in minutes.

The second reason is weight. At roughly 26 grams, catching it badly is a non-event. I have run sessions where a heavier ball caught a nine-year-old on the cheekbone and the session ended there. Light matters more than any feature list, and it is the thing no listing photograph can show you.

I will be straight about the downside. It is only sold through its own offer page, so there is no walking into a shop and no familiar marketplace returns flow.
